You should allow around two to three hours for the ride on the Schlossberg Funicular and a walk around the Schlossberg. If you’d also like to visit the Schlossbergstollen with its 4D cinema, the Schlossberg slide and the Graz Fairy Tale Railway, or stop for a bite to eat at one of the restaurants on the Graz Schlossberg, a longer visit is recommended.
The Schlossberg Funicular runs regularly every 15 minutes (at the top of every quarter of an hour). In less than two minutes, the funicular takes visitors directly from Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Kai 38 to the top of the hill, where the station is located at the Schlossberg Restaurant in front of the bell tower. During the journey, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city of Graz.
