Fascinating treasures north of Graz

Discover the enchanting Grazer Bergland north of Graz! Begin with a visit to the impressive dripstone cave in Semriach and be captivated by the bizarre cave world filled with sinter formations, stalactites, and enormous rock domes. After having lunch at a charming local inn, continue to the historic Rein Abbey. Immerse yourself in its rich history and enjoy a fascinating tour of the world's oldest continuously operating Cistercian monastery. Afterwards, relax as we return to Graz. An unforgettable excursion that will delight you!

Eastern Styria - Legendary Riegersburg and fabulous chocolate

Visible from afar and over 850 years old, Riegersburg castle is perched on the rock of a volcanic core and affords incomparable views of the magnificent vineyards of south-eastern Styria. This region offers many culinary experiences: the world of Zotter chocolate, traditional old pumpkin seed oil mills, vinegar and schnapps production, air-dried “volcano” ham, cellars with prize-winning wine and plenty more – tasting is of course a must.

This excursion is a full-day trip lasting 6 to 8 hours, combining travel by coach and walking, with group sizes ranging from 25 to 50 people per coach.

Southern Styria - From black gold to white wine

In the gentle hills of Southern Styria, excellent white wines mature, gaining increasing international recognition. A wine tasting and cellar tour in the 300-year-old wine cellar of the episcopal palace of Seggau, one of Styria's most impressive landmarks, will surely captivate you. Afterwards, you will visit a traditional pumpkin seed oil-mill to sample the "black gold" of Styria. Finally, you can enjoy a hearty snack and a good glass of Styrian wine in a rustic tavern with a marvellous view of the surrounding vineyards.

Picturesque western Styria

Passing gentle hills and picturesque villages, the journey takes you to Piber in the western Styrian region. Visit the Federal Stud, where majestic Lipizzaner horses have been bred since 1920, enchanting audiences later with their performances at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. After an exciting tour of the stud, continue to Bärnbach to see the St. Barbara Church, designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, showcasing its unique and colourful architecture. The crowning finale is a delightful traditional snack platter and a glass of exquisite Styrian wine at a typical regional wine tavern.
