Guided truffle hikes in Graz's Leech Forest
Join specially trained truffle dogs on a search for hidden treasures beneath the forest floor.
The tour starts at Waldschule Graz, where you'll enjoy a leisurely walk through Leech Forest while learning about the fascinating world of truffles. Thanks to the dogs' keen sense of smell, several species of underground truffles can be discovered in Graz's urban forests. Besides prized gourmet truffles, participants will also learn about inedible truffle species, which are an important indicator of biodiversity in sustainably managed forests.
After the walk, you'll enjoy a tasting of Graz truffles at Purberg in Hilmteichschlössl, served with Montasio ravioli tossed in truffle butter, including one drink.

Please note: Wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear and rain protection. In the event of severe weather, Waldschule Graz may cancel the tour for safety reasons. Private dogs are not permitted. Children under 18 may only participate when accompanied by a supervising adult.
