Styrian wine is the perfect companion to truffles. Its fruity, vibrant and elegant character beautifully complements the earthy, aromatic flavours of truffles. Each year, a distinguished jury selects the Best Truffle Wines, with particular recognition given to mature Pinot varieties, Traminer and Riesling. These award-winning wines can be tasted during the International Truffle Festival at the Paradeishof in Graz and at selected Foodie City Partner Restaurants throughout the festival.

The Truffle Festival Graz is a culinary event series organised by the Foodie City of Austria, celebrating one of the world's finest delicacies: the truffle. The festival brings together the International Truffle Market, guided truffle hunts in Graz's Leech Forest, and exclusive truffle dishes served at selected Foodie City Partner Restaurants, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the many flavours of the truffle.
The Graz Truffle Festival takes place every autumn. In 2026, the festival will be held from 21 to 31 October 2026 and features a diverse programme celebrating the world of truffles. Visitors can explore the International Truffle Market at the Paradeishof, join guided truffle hunts in Graz's Leech Forest, and enjoy exclusive truffle creations served by selected Foodie City Partner Restaurants throughout the festival.
Visitors can look forward to a varied programme celebrating the world of truffles. Together, these experiences showcase the unique flavours of the Graz truffle alongside premium truffles from renowned truffle-growing regions across Europe.
The festival showcases Styrian truffles, sourced directly from the region. They grow naturally in mixed forests around Graz and are carefully located by specially trained truffle hunters and their dogs. One of the most exciting recent discoveries is the Burgundy truffle found in Graz's Leech Forest, highlighting the region's growing reputation as an exceptional truffle destination.
The perfect pairing for truffle dishes is Styrian wine. Its fruity, vibrant and elegant character harmonises beautifully with the earthy aroma of truffles, enhancing their delicate and complex flavours. Mature Pinot varieties, Traminer and Riesling are particularly well suited, thanks to their refined structure and depth.
Each year, an expert jury selects the Truffle Wines of the Year, which visitors can taste at the International Truffle Market in Graz's Paradeishof and at selected Foodie City Partner Restaurants during the Graz Truffle Festival.
