The Slide
The Slide, in Schlossberg hill, is the largest underground slide in the world.
The Schlossberg Slide is the world’s largest underground slide! Over a 175-metre-long run, you’ll hurtle downhill at around 25 km/h – from the Schlossberg down into the Schlossbergstollen! The Schlossberg slide runs right next to and around the Schlossberg lift. Anyone can have a go, provided they are at least 1.3 metres tall and follow the safety rules (use of specially designed sliding mats, only set off when the light is green, no carrying of objects, no sliding in pairs).

Access via the Schlossberg lift (get off at “Slide Graz”); entry points are via Schlossbergplatz or the top station next to Café aiola upstairs

The Schlossberg Slide is accessed via the Schlossberg Lift. Visitors can enter either from Schlossbergplatz or from the upper station next to aiola upstairs. The slide ends in the Schlossberg Tunnel at the foot of the Schlossberg.
The slide ride itself takes only around 40 seconds. Including ticket purchase, the lift ride, possible waiting times and perhaps a visit to the Schlossberg or the 4D adventure cinema “The Flight Graz”, you should allow approximately 30 to 60 minutes.
For safety reasons, riders must be at least 1.30 metres tall. Only one person per sliding mat is permitted.
The Schlossberg Slide is 175 metres long and descends 64 metres through the interior of the Schlossberg. During the approximately 40-second ride, visitors can reach speeds of up to 25 km/h.
Tickets can be purchased online or on site. On-site tickets are available at the ticket desk near the slide entrance, at the 4D adventure cinema “The Flight Graz”, and at the lift ticket office in the Schlossberg Tunnel. To avoid waiting times, it is recommended to book tickets online in advance.
