Poor Man's Revenge – Album Release Show at the Orpheum extra
Poor Man’s Revenge – poor but full of charm – bring the darkness of human existence and unbridled passion to the city’s stages. With roots in punk, roots music, Americana and country, they have forged their own unique blend of genres, which they affectionately call ‘Acoustic Anti-Gospel’. True to this spirit, their debut album ‘Sain’t’ tells stories that are often pushed into the shadows in our society.
Banjo, guitar, double bass and washboard, blended with melodic and raw vocals, set traditional bridges alight to build a better future.
North Of Ljubljana will be performing as the support act. The Austrian-Swiss folk duo from Graz consists of Finn Strebel (guitar, vocals) and Veronika Schlatzer (violin, vocals). With musical elements drawn from fast-paced bluegrass and youthful lyrics in English and Swiss German, they breathe new life into traditional folk music in an intimate acoustic setting.
