“Aufschlagern” at Gatto im Museum
While traditional dress and folk music take centre stage at the Aufsteirern festival in Graz city centre, an alternative programme awaits you at Gatto im Museum near Paulustor.
The DJ team from Schlagergarten Gloria plays music from an old 7-inch jukebox, inviting you to sing and sway along. At the same time, you can browse the flea market for special finds or enjoy a relaxed brunch.
But don’t expect a traditional Schlager party: Schlagergarten sees itself as an accessible cultural festival that brings together different generations and scenes.
Gatto im Museum is just a few minutes’ walk from Hauptplatz, making “Aufschlagern” easy to combine with a visit to the Aufsteirern festival in Graz city centre.
