Schloss Kornberg
The exhibition center in the Styrian thermal and volcanic region on the Schlösserstrasse
Kornberg Castle was first mentioned in a document in 1284. Kornberg Castle received its current appearance from the Barons of Stadl in the 16th and 17th centuries. Kornberg Castle has been owned by the Bardeau family since 1871. The Bardeaus' family roots can be found in France. Finally they went to Austria via Italy. The castle is managed in the 4th generation by Consul Mag. Andreas Bardeau. The oldest view of the castle shows the building in 1681. The irregular hexagon as a floor plan is particularly characteristic.
