Schilcherweinstraße

The Schilcher Wine Trail

Only wines that are made from 100% blue Wildbacher grapes may be called "Schilcher".

The Styrian town Ligist is the starting point of the Schilcher Wine Trail. It leads via Hochgrail, the home of the rosé colored Schilcher, to Stainz, Deutschlandsberg and Eibiswald. The Schilcher Wine Route stretches over 74 km through the Schilcherland.

The Schilcherweinstraße is signposted by brown information boards with a white horse, the logo of the Schilcherschutzverein.

Along the wine trail, winemakers and wine taverns invite you to taste and enjoy a Styrian Brettljause (cold plated snack).
