Hans Gross Museum of Criminology

At the scene of the crime in the Hans Gross Museum of Criminology – not literally, but you will find a wealth of exciting insights into actual criminal cases and the mentalities of both the culprits and their victims. At the end of the 19th century Hans Gross founded this collection of cases and corpora delicti as an educational resource for lawyers and policemen. The criminal investigation methods developed by the “father of modern criminology” were adopted all over the world.

Opening times & guided tours:
Monday (except on public holidays): 10 am - 3 pm (guided tour at 11 am)
Thursday (except on public holidays): 1 pm - 5 pm
at any time by prior appointment
