City beach I Stadtstrand Graz
South of the "Seifenfabrik Graz" I Andersengasse 59, 8041 Graz
This newly designed recreation area invites you to spend your time on or beside the Mur river. The "Puchsteg" connects the two banks of the Mur - so the city beach is very easy to reach by bike.
The boat rental on the city beach is open from May to September when the weather is nice - Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 8 pm and on weekends and public holidays from 12 pm: Kayaks, SUP boards, water bikes, rowing boats and electrically operated Mur gondolas are available for hire. Courses on kayaking and stand up paddling are also offered.
Incidentally, the start of the rafting trips by the rafting company "Flößerei" is on the city beach. The raft departs at the rafting dock at the City Beach I Andersengasse 59, 8041 Graz - from here it heads north to the Radetzky Bridge and back again - upstream with an electric motor, downstream the raft can be allowed to drift!
