The Augarten is one of Graz's most popular parks and the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Situated directly on the River Mur, this spacious park combines expansive lawns, shady tree-lined paths and pleasant walking trails with a relaxed urban atmosphere. A particular highlight is Augarten Bay, a modern riverside area with seating and sunbathing terraces that brings you right to the water's edge. Families enjoy the large playground and the nearby FRida & freD Children's Museum, while sports enthusiasts use the park for running, cycling or taking a break along the Mur Cycle Path. Please note that swimming in the River Mur is not permitted. On hot summer days, the nearby Augarten Outdoor Pool is the perfect place to cool off.
