Tour de Mur 2027 – 35th Cycling Tour Along the River Mur
Three days of cycling along the Mur Cycle Path from Salzburg's Lungau region via Graz to Bad Radkersburg
From 27 to 29 May 2027, the Tour de Mur invites cycling enthusiasts to its 35th edition. The three-day cycling tour follows the Mur Cycle Path (R2) for a total of 333 kilometres, starting in Salzburg's Lungau region, passing through Styria and finishing in Bad Radkersburg. One of the highlights is the stage to Graz, where participants arrive on the second day.
Three stages through Styria
The Tour de Mur combines physical activity with varied landscapes and a friendly atmosphere. The route is divided into three daily stages:
- Thursday, 27 May 2027: St. Michael im Lungau – Zeltweg, approx. 115 km
- Friday, 28 May 2027: Zeltweg – Graz, approx. 124 km
- Saturday, 29 May 2027: Graz – Bad Radkersburg, approx. 95 km
Tour de Mur stops in Graz
On Friday, 28 May 2027, the second stage leads from Zeltweg via Bruck an der Mur and Frohnleiten to Graz. The stage finishes at Gigasport / Kastner & Öhler in Graz's city centre. A cycling festival is planned if the weather is fine.
On Saturday, the third and final stage starts in Graz. Between 8 am and 9.30 am, cyclists set off towards Bad Radkersburg, where the tour concludes with a festival in the historic town centre.
Cycling without time pressure
The Tour de Mur is a recreational cycling event, not a race. There is no timekeeping, so participants can cycle at their own pace. Cyclists can take part in the entire three-day tour or join individual stages.
