steirischer herbst 2027

International Festival of Contemporary Art in Graz and Styria

The steirischer herbst is one of Europe's leading festivals of contemporary art. From 23 September to 17 October 2027, Graz will once again become a meeting place for international art, extraordinary productions and discussions on social issues.

Since its foundation in 1968, steirischer herbst has stood for artistic experimentation, fresh perspectives and the exploration of current social issues. The festival brings together different art forms and creates opportunities for encounters between artists and audiences.

The diverse festival programme traditionally includes performances, theatre, music, visual arts, literature and interdisciplinary projects. Familiar art forms are challenged, new forms of expression are explored, and socially relevant topics are examined from unexpected perspectives.

Steirischer herbst brings together international and regional artistic voices, transforming a variety of venues in Graz and Styria into stages for contemporary art.
