Merkur Grazathlon 2027 – Beat the City
Sporty sightseeing at the spectacular obstacle race through Graz
On 5 June 2027, Graz once again becomes the setting for an exciting sporting challenge: the Merkur Grazathlon, an extraordinary obstacle race right through Graz’s city centre. Under the motto “Beat the City”, participants can look forward to a combination of running, climbing, crawling and sliding – passing famous sights and some of the city’s most beautiful spots along the way.
Whether you choose the 5 km or 10 km course, around 20 obstacles provide sporting challenges, plenty of action and a unique sightseeing experience. The aim is not only to complete the course but also to push your own limits.
Obstacle racing meets sightseeing in the heart of Graz
What makes the Merkur Grazathlon so special is its unique setting. Instead of following conventional running routes, participants make their way through the city, passing well-known squares and landmarks. Graz’s city centre becomes an obstacle course where agility, endurance and team spirit are put to the test.
The Grazathlon is also an exciting experience for spectators. Along the route, they can cheer on the runners, watch them tackle challenging obstacles up close and enjoy the special atmosphere of this sporting event.
