On 5 December 2026, things will get especially exciting at the Advent market on Glockenspielplatz: Krampus is coming to visit, bringing a fascinating piece of traditional Styrian folklore to the heart of Graz’s Old Town.
Krampus is one of the best-known figures in Alpine Advent traditions. With his fearsome appearance, he is traditionally the counterpart to St. Nicholas and can be seen in many places around 5 December.
