A special surprise on Krampus Day – experience Alpine traditions in Graz’s Old Town
On 5 December 2026, things will get especially exciting at the Children’s Advent Market in Kleine Neutorgasse and the traditional Christmas market on Franziskanerplatz: Krampus is coming to visit from 5 pm!
With his traditional appearance, Krampus will make his way through the Christmas market stalls, creating excitement and amazement among visitors. Krampus is an important figure in Alpine Advent folklore and traditionally appears around 5 December, known as Krampus Day.
A special Advent experience that combines a visit to the Christmas markets with a fascinating glimpse into traditional Alpine customs.

Venue: Children’s Advent Market in Kleine Neutorgasse and Altgrazer Christmas Market on Franziskanerplatz, 8010 Graz
