Sparks of the Divine – Concert with the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra at Graz Opera
Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 is one of the greatest masterpieces in music history and a timeless appeal for unity, peace and humanity. Inspired by Friedrich Schiller's Ode to Joy, Beethoven transformed the symphony by combining orchestra, choir and solo voices into a groundbreaking musical vision.
Under the baton of Chief Conductor Vassilis Christopoulos, the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra, the Opera Graz Chorus and Extra Chorus, together with soloists Marjukka Tepponen (soprano), Neira Muhić (mezzo-soprano), Jörg Schneider (tenor) and Wilfried Zelinka (bass), present this monumental work.
