On 18 September at 5 pm, steirischer herbst opens with a performance by LIGNA, which explores the concept of freedom, at Freiheitsplatz in Graz (free admission, registration required). Participants in the audio performance will move to the Schauspielhaus, where the opening speech by artistic director Ekaterina Degot will take place.
Starting at 8:30 pm, a double set of performances will take place at the Helmut List Halle (ticket required). The dance performance by Manuel Pelmuș and Frédéric Gies will be followed by the performance Hot Sotz (2025) by Ivo Dimchev. Afterwards, the opening party will begin with free admission, featuring Ivo Dimchev and aua&angst b2b anxxxious_t.
