Elektra – Opera by Richard Strauss

After the murder of her father Agamemnon by her mother Klytämnestra and her lover Aegisthus, Elektra is consumed by a single desire: revenge. In Richard Strauss's powerful one-act opera, expressive orchestral writing and psychological depth combine to create one of the masterpieces of the operatic repertoire.

Director Elena Artisi presents the work as a compelling study of trauma, exploring violence, silence and the possibility of breaking free from destructive family patterns. Under the baton of Chief Conductor Vassilis Christopoulos, Strauss's intense score unfolds in all its dramatic force.
