Kleine Zeitung Carnival Parade in Graz city centre
On 9 February 2027, the traditional carnival parade will take place once again in Graz.
Every year on Shrove Tuesday, the traditional Graz carnival parade transforms the city centre into a colourful carnival stronghold.
Important note: Due to the carnival parade, no trams will be running on Herrengasse on this day from around 12.00 pm until approximately 3.15 pm – a rail replacement service will be provided. As the city centre is always very busy around the parade on Shrove Tuesday, we still recommend travelling by public transport. Arrive early to secure a spot with a good view of the parade! If you’re coming from outside the city, we recommend using one of the numerous Park & Ride car parks on the outskirts.
By the way: The Graz Carnival Parade is broadcast live on ORF2 every year!
