For decades, the festival has been presenting top-class productions and projects from all areas of contemporary art. The programme focuses on the interplay between music, performance and visual arts, literature and new media. As usual, ‘steirischer herbst’ is accompanied by ORF musikprotokoll, the literature festival Out of Joint and a diverse partner programme.
The 58th edition of the festival for contemporary art will take place from 18 September to 12 October 2025. Participating artists and initial information about the programme will be announced in June on the festival website steirischerherbst.at
