Details
Franz Schubert’s sixth and final major Latin mass, the Missa Solemnis in E flat major, is often described as the most beautiful of his masses. On 20 June 2026, the Graz University Choir will perform the Mass together with the Boys’ Choir of the Graz Kapellknaben, the Capella Calliope orchestra and four soloists at the Herz-Jesu-Kirche in Graz. Anton Bruckner’s Te Deum provides a spectacular finale to the concert evening. Bruckner himself described his Te Deum as the “pride of my life”, creating a choral work that remains a popular choice for performances to this day.
The Graz University Choir, the Graz Boys’ Choir and Capella Caliope will perform Franz Schubert’s Mass in E-flat major and Anton Bruckner’s Te Deum at the Herz Jesu Church in Graz, conducted by Matthias Unterkofler.
The soloists are Birgitta Wetzl (soprano), Heidrun Müller-Witzani (alto), Gerd Jaburek (tenor) and Camilo Olguín (bass)
