Baltic Music Festival 2026

From 7 to 10 May 2026, Graz will for the first time become the setting for a unique artistic encounter: The Baltic Music Festival brings together top-class musicians from Austria, France and the Baltic states who view music as a form of dialogue and a human responsibility.
Under the title ‘Being Human’, the festival addresses one of the most fundamental questions of our time. In a world increasingly shaped by algorithms and AI, the festival focuses on the unpredictable and the sensitive. Music, film and open discussions create a space in which sensitivity can be experienced.

The Baltic Music Festival sees itself as a European project in the spirit of the guiding principle “United in Diversity” and brings different cultural influences into dialogue with one another. The invited artists are among the finest representatives of their generation and guarantee the highest artistic quality in both chamber music and solo performances.

The Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks, one of Europe’s most significant contemporary composers, will accompany the festival as Composer in Residence. His music embodies the festival theme ‘Being Human’ in a unique way and forms the artistic focus of this year’s edition.
The internationally acclaimed pianist Shani Diluka will be present as Guest of Honour. Shani Diluka’s
