For its 75th anniversary, Austria's most significant cycling tour starts in Graz. With the Grand Départ 2026, the Styrian capital becomes the international starting point of the Tour of Austria and comes into the spotlight of the cycling world.
On July 7, Graz presents itself at the official team presentation as a stage for the international professional scene. On July 8, the starting signal will be given here for the anniversary edition.
The approximately 180 kilometers long opening stage leads from Graz westward through Thal, St. Bartholomä, and Ligist towards Southern Styria. Thus, the urban backdrop, hilly landscapes, and wine regions, along with approximately 3,000 meters of elevation, create sporting excitement for the start.
