Get acquainted with our traditions and try and taste local specialities
The Styrians or „Steirer“, as we call them in German, know how to celebrate. Each year in September Graz transforms into a giant Styrian village. You will meet the locals wearing the traditional clothes, such as the Dirndl for the ladies, and the leather trousers for the men. Food-wise the Steiermark has a lot to offer – first and foremost the famous pumpkinseedoil, or the „Käferbohne“ (runner bean) and of course the horseradish, served preferably to a „Brettljause“ or with the „Steirische Wurzelfleisch“ (boiled pork with root vegetables). On this tour will not only learn about the traditions but also hear them „live“ ….
