St. Leonhard and its cemetery
The roots of the district of St. Leonhard are likely to go back to Roman times. Despite the long time, St. Leonhard kept its rural character until the 19th century. Since then it has been characterised by the newly built universities and a hospital and developed into a popular residential area for professors, doctors, writers and many more. Several of them, from Wilhelm von Tegetthoff, and Anton Graf Prokesch von Osten, to Richard von Krafft-Ebing found their resting place on the cemetery of St. Leonhard. Join us and discover this fascinating neighbourhood on the outskirts of Graz!
