Children’s Winterworld on Karmeliterplatz:
Discover a world of unforgettable experiences for the little ones on Karmeliterplatz. Hours of excitement and fun will help while away the time waiting for Santa Claus to arrive, and get you all in the festive mood. The centrepiece of Winterworld on Karmeliterplatz is the 600-square-metre ice rink. Ice skating on Karmeliterplatz is free of charge. more »

Children’s Advent market Kleine Neutorgasse:
At the children’s Advent market in the Franziskanerviertel you will find a village of 1,000 lights, with a carousel, a nostalgic biq wheel and toys – a little paradise for those eagerly awaiting Christmas. Every Wednesday: Children’s Day (discounted rides on the carousel, big wheel etc.). more »

Advent Market in front of the City Hall:
Experience the beautiful façade of the City Hall transformed into a huge, illuminated Advent calendar at dusk. Besides the little ones enjoy the much-loved children’s carousel. Every Sunday: Children’s Day! more »

Arts and crafts on Mehlplatz:
Every Sunday the arts and crafts market on Mehlplatz offers a children’s creative workshop. What’s more, the stars projected onto the ground and wandering around Mehlplatz square after dusk enjoy great popularity among children. more »

Advent train for children and adults:
The small and friendly fun train takes its warm, comfortable passengers on a ride through the Graz Old Town. It runs between the Advent markets and is a real blessing when you are worn out from shopping and visiting the Christmas sights. Tickets: € 1,50 per adult, € 1 per child. Atmospheric Friday afternoons in Advent for children:
Stadtpfarrkirche/hall on the ground floor, Herrengasse 23, 3 pm – 4.30 pm and 4.30 pm – 6.00 pm.
Binding an advent wreath, making Christmas tree decorations out of curly wood shavings, making candles, decorating gingerbread and singing Christmas carols.

The Graz nativity trail:
Once again this year, the shops in Stempfergasse display a wide range of Christmas cribs in their windows. The nativity trail leads from the ice crib in the Landhaus courtyard to beautifully illuminated Stempfergasse. more »
