Graz - architecture and design
The combination of quality of life, university and entrepreneurial innovation and culture in Graz has developed into a fertile breeding ground of so-called creative industries, i.e. the very business sector that keeps the daily invention process of society and business going. By founding "Creative Industries Styria" an initiator, coordinator and networker was created to turn Graz into a "hot spot" for creative talents. In addition to the continuous promotion and networking of creative souls, the CIS is currently pursuing the admission of Graz into the "Creative Cities Network" of UNESCO as a "City of Design". By doing so, Graz would stand together with other design-oriented cities such as Berlin, Montreal and Buenos Aires.
